Dear Ms Harwood,

I know you are dead, but I hope you get the opportunity to read this, in another lifetime perhaps. You should know that your exploration of life's meaning, and what constitutes our personal identity in your poetry can be summated in a mere plagiarised sentence:
"What Ky has accomplished in the holidays"

In other words:
NOTHING .

Well maybe not nothing. Something that has made an abundance of year 12 students cry in agony, and impregnated the mind of at least ONE student with SUICIDAL THOUGHTS.

I hope you will be happy when we finally meet in an undefined realm in the near future, where the only life experience I will be able to share with you is the last 14 years of my permanent memory.

Write a letter to Gwen Harwood (who is now smoking pot in Nirvana might I add) expressing your own thoughts on her poetry, examining how her poetry reflects on human nature, and the universality of her ideas.
